Memorial Services

Memorial Services

On 23rd April 2023 we held a Memorial Service in London to commemorate and remember members of the LGBT+ community who have lost their lives to suicide and experienced harm, following exclusion from Christian communities. It was attended by LGBT+ people and their allies affected by these experiences, and well supported by senior representatives spanning the many denominations and traditions in Christian faith, as well as politicians. We have been overwhelmed with messages of thanks for the provision of this service.

The Memorial service provided a space for communal remembering, grieving and recognition of who we have lost and the harm many have endured; it also provided a space to look forward together, as an act of reconciliation, committing to being the change we must be together to bring an end to harm and suffering for LGBT+ folk. With support locally, we have been asked to facilitate parallel events for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and would really appreciate your support to do so.

If you are able to help us provide a space of memorial and hope reaching all corners of the four nations, then you can donate here. We really appreciate your generosity, thank you.
