David Owen

David is a degree qualified barrister, who has spent his career in varied roles including venture capital; insurance; restructuring companies and, in his early days, attempting to be a Hollywood actor. He chairs a travel company and an insurance business and advises on mergers and acquisitions, primarily in the financial services sector.

David has spanned the denominational spectrum, starting as a Welsh Baptist. He would argue that if you have never been consigned to hell in Welsh by a Baptist minister, you haven’t really lived. He contends it is hard enough being a Christian without picking sides and will attend anywhere if God is preached and Christ celebrated.

Married to Tereza with three children and two grandchildren, David has homes in London and the Czech Republic. David was a previous supporter of Changing Attitude and is honoured to be our Treasurer (since 2018), believing that God created us all, irrespective of gender, race, colour or eccentricity.
