Pride - how was it for you? Leeds Church Institute needs your help with some exciting research.

We know that affirming Christian presences at Pride have a real impact on people's lives - so we're super-excited that Anthea Colledge, with support from Leeds Church Institute, is undertaking some research to explore people's expereinces.  Here's what Anthea has to say:

On behalf of Leeds Church Institute I'm carrying out a research project into affirming Christian presences at UK Prides (i.e. not the people who go along to protest!). We're gathering information about why individual Christians and groups go to Pride, and how a visible Christian presence is received by other people. Would you be willing to help by completing a survey?

To take part in the survey you need to:

  • be over 18
  • have an affirming attitude towards LGBT+ Pride
  • have been to a UK Pride event or plan to go to one this year
  • AND either identify as Christian, OR have been to Pride as part of an organised Christian group (regardless of your own faith/religious identity)

The link to the survey is here: https://leeds.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/christians-at-pride

Technical information about the project is all on the first page of the survey, but if you'd like any more info (either about the project or about who I am) please just email me at prajc@leeds.ac.uk

We'd love as many people as possible to get involved, and we'll let you know the outomes of the research as soon as they're made available to us.
